Who Can Use This Web Hosting Service? 

Our Web Hosting service is available to anyone that requires a website. This hosting space is content free with the exception of the following material:

Hacking material - Includes pirated software, phreaking, hacking, Anarchy, and any material which provide 'links to' or 'how to' information about such material.

Spam material - Includes all forms of unsolicited bulk emailing.

Illegal material - This includes copyrighted works (i.e. mp3 music files, ROM's, emulators), and any material in violation of any Federal, State or Local regulation.

I've Lost My Password, How Can I Recover It Or Create A New One? 

If you've lost your password or would like to have a new one created, please send a request to support@hosting4less.com. You will need to send us the last 4 digits of the credit card we have on account for verification of your right to make the changes.

How Can I Tell If I'm Over My Space/Bandwidth Limit? 

You can always tell how much web space you have used and bandwidth consumption from within the control-panel. There is a function which will report, in real-time, the total amount of web space used by your site. This information is presented in .tree. form, showing all folders and files and their size. If you want to know how much bandwidth your site has consumed, you can always verify this from within the control-panel as well. Once you have either your total web space or bandwidth consumption, then by knowing what plan you have, you can determine if you are over the limits.

How Does The Billing Work? 

Hosting 4 Less bills on either a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Costs will vary depending upon the plan you choose and your term. Each plan has a given amount of bandwidth and storage allotment. If you exceed the monthly data transfer allotment you will be billed at $1 per GB over the given plan allotment. If you exceed the given storage allotment you will be billed at $.10 per MB over the storage allotment. Any overages will be automatically billed once a month to the credit card on file. How Much FTP Space Can I Use? 

The package comes with 2GB of storage space for your files. This is a large amount of space. However, some clients may require more. Clients who require additional file storage space can purchase more at very affordable rates. Please call us at 1.888.818.0444 for special pricing.

How Are Overages Billed? 

The bandwidth and file storage space that you receive is unrestricted and not capped. You can burn and store as much as you require. The amount you will be charged for overages depends on the plan you haven chosen and the amount consumed. With our simple pricing structure you will pay only $1 per GB of transfer and/or $.10 per MB of file storage space over the given plan allotment. Do I Need Any Special FTP Software? 

NO! With our Web Hosting service their is no need to download any special software. You can drag and drop files into and from your FTP site with programs such as Internet Explorer. Our FTP service supports any FTP clients you would like to use. In short, a FTP client is not required to utilize our FTP service. However, it is recommended that Macintosh users download an FTP program called Fetch that allows for full FTP capabilities on a Macintosh.

Can Users See Each Other's Files? 

NO! With our FTP service each username and password combination you create is restricted to their own folder you assigned them. They do not know about any other folders. When they login the user is automatically put into their own directory. The master account does have the ability to see all of the other accounts allowing for full access to the FTP site. You also have the ability to share a directory with multiple people by simply giving out that username/password information to more than one user. If you have a group manager you also have the ability to create a group admin who will have access to multiple sub accounts without access to the main account.

Do You Support SSL? 

Yes! With our web hosting all servers support SSL. You can use either "Auth SSL" or "Auth TLS" with our service. In order for the FTP to be encrypted you simply would need to use an FTP client that supports one of the two methods. Nearly all FTP clients support encryption now utilizing the SSL or TLS.

How Many Sub Accounts Can I Have? 

Our web hosting service comes with up to 100 sub FTP accounts. If you require more than 100 this is not a problem, you simply have to inform us of how many additional accounts you require. The sub FTP accounts are managed via an easy to use web-based control panel.

Can I Use My Own Domain Name? 

Yes! You can use your own domain name or a sub domain of another. With our web hosting service we give you a static ip# with your account so you can point any domain name you would like to the account. For example, you can create ftp.yourname.com and point it to the ip# we assign to you. Some customers even have us register a new domain name for them to use with the FTP account.
